Timeline: Between chapter 140 and 148.

Personality: Rinali's entire world is her friends and family. She once tells Allen walker this, and that if someone she loved were to die, then it would be like a piece of her world disappeared. She would give up her life in order for her friends to be safe, and she will do anything to make Komui Li, her big brother, happy.

Rinali, generally, comes off as a very sweet and caring teenager, though it's not rare for her to fight and argue with her friends out of worry. On a closer look, she's more emotional than one would think. Rinali has a mildly traumatizing past that fuels her worry over her friends. She tends to worry about Allen most, commenting that she hates his eye, because it causes him to take all the weight of this war onto his shoulders and he wont let his friends help him carry it.

She is incredibly stubborn, and doesn't take shit from nobody; even Kanda. Rinali has a strong will, especially when it comes to helping her friends. On occasion, she has cried because she cannot do anything to help her friends.

History: Many years ago, Rinali lived in China with her older brother, Komui Li. Both their parents had been killed by akuma when Rinali was too young to remember. Eventually, the Black Order discovered she was an accommodator for the Dark Boots(an Anti-Akuma weapon). She was taken away from her brother, and locked up in Black Order Headquarters despite her protests. She was there for three years, locked up, and never allowed to leave. During these three years, she tried to commit suicide, for nothing could be worse than this dreadful place where she saw horrible tests being done on other children such as herself. She witnessed a young boy forcing synchronization with Innocence, and killing himself in the process. This was during the years that the Black Order was trying to create their own exorcists, for finding accommodators was too hard and tedious.

After Rinali's suicide attempt, she was restrained and tied down to her bed, where she stayed until, eventually, her older brother joined the Black Order. Rinali was instantly more at ease, and slowly began to be able to think of the towering building as home. A Miraculous feat for a girl who had been trapped, seen terrible things, and tried to commit suicide in the very same building.

Rinali is now the assistant Head Officer[who is her older brother; Komui] on the side of being an exorcist. She was apart of a mission to retrieve one of the Generals of the Black Order, alongside Allen Walker, Lavi, Bookman, Miranda Lotto, Krory Arystar, and many others. During this mission, she was lead to believe that Allen Walker had been killed by a Noah; Tyki Mykk. This left Rinali a wreck, and even more protective over her friends. They left for Japan, across the ocean from China. When a Level Three Akuma showed up, she took him on by herself. During her fight in the middle of the ocean, she took a harsh beating and, in the end, returned it upon the akuma by destroying it. But, her final attack pushed the limits of her dark boots and forced her boots to maximum invocation -- a dangerous decision. The attack, though it destroyed the akuma, left her legs with next to no mobility. She was rescued by an Akuma[dubbed Chomsuke by Lavi] that had been converted by General Cross to the good side.

Eventually, they retrieved General Cross, after a long battle with the Noahs in their territory. When they returned to Black Order Headquarters with the General, her Dark Boots were removed from her legs. The guard of the Innocence, Hevlaska, said that if she were to synchronize with her innocence again, she could very well die. When the boots were removed, she gained perfect use of her legs again. After this, Rinali makes a comment that her legs feel so light, and they don't hurt anymore; that the Dark Boots always felt so heavy, and were painful to wear.

The same day her Dark Boots were removed, Black Order Headquarters went under attack, and Rinali and Lavi were locked up in the Hospital ward with an unconscious Krory Arystar.
